Bat speed was efficient, had a loose uphill swing plane and high finish. Solid while in the infield, made throws at velocities up to 80 mph; has consistent feet, a natural exchange, and sure hands. Laterally, movements were athletic and fielded the ball out front. Used a high ¾ slot and a quick arm action. During the event, ran the 60-yard dash in 7.63.  (Max spin ; Avg ). 

Kai Close: LHP/1B, (2025) Wadsworth, OH. 6-foot-2, 190-pound projectable athletic build. (70.4 mph bat speed average). (22.6 mph hand speed average). Began in a balanced athletic stance with a controlled load, then used a small toe tap stride. Bat speed was explosive, had an uphill swing plane and level good extension on his finish. Was able to create tons of loud contact and found multiple barrels. Gap to gap approach. Advanced in the infield, displayed a velocity of 73 mph; showed next level hands, a quick exchange, and consistent athletic feet. Fields the ball out front, movements laterally were quick. Consistent accuracy to the bag, used a high ¾ slot and a short very quick arm action. Smooth on the mound, had a quick clean arm action and an over-the-top arm angle with above average arm speed. Drop-and-drive type pitcher who uses decent effort. Balance is tall point with an uphill shoulders in his delivery. Lands square with an athletic finish.  (Max spin 1790; Avg 1743).
