11/22/17

Ran a 7.93 60-yard dash. Stood out in BP for his strength. The righty starts in a balanced setup with his barrel vertical. Flows through his leg kick load into his controlled stride. Bat travels on a mostly level path to contact with bat speed proving to be an above average tool as well. Ball comes off his bat well, showing potential to be a middle of the lineup type guy. Reached a top exit velocity of 90 mph. At third base he uses aggressive, direct footwork. Fields the baseball low in the middle in his body, often times from heels. Ball skills are adequate for the spot. His 64 mph arm strength is his biggest area for improvement.

5/31/17
Behind the plate he has quickness to his footwork and does a nice job of getting in line to second base during his transfer. Exchange skills are adequate. Arm strength will be area of improvement. At third base he does a nice job of playing low and fielding the ball out in front of his body. Glove skills are there and he gets rid of the ball quickly. Showed confidence in his glove on the move. At the plate he starts in a balanced setup with his hands high. Moves his bat back to launch during his short stride. Strong kid with above average bat speed. Used both sides of the field in BP, showing the ability to create consistent backspin. Flashed middle of the lineup potential.

5-foot-11, 165-pound solid build. From the outfield he tends to stay back and uses a crow hop to gain momentum. Opens up on his throws from a short, high-3/4 slot with 70 mph arm strength. From behind the plate he has a wide frame and soft hands. Once his footwork gets quicker his pop times will go down. Throws form a high-3/4 slot with 64 mph arm strength and 2.29-2.5 pop times. At third base shows soft hands and good transfer with 70 mph arm strength across the diamond. Right-handed hitter that starts spread out and balanced. Has some strength in his swing, but gets mechanical at times. Registered top exit velocity of 83 mph and ran 4.93 down the line
2/7/15
5-foot-11, 181-pound average build. From behind the plate he sits down with a wide frame. He needs to quicken up his footwork to get his feet in line for his throw. Throws from a high-¾ slot with pop times of 2.31-2.41 and 66 mph arm strength. From the infield he projects as a 3B type that plays on his heels and throws from a long arm action with 64 mph arm strength across the diamond. Right-handed hitter with no stride and has his hands far from his body. Swing gets a little long with an impressive exit velocity for his age at 84 mph and ran 4.57 home to first.
