Body Type: 6-foot, 170-pound average frame with room to add strength.
Mechanical/Delivery Notes: Uptempo delivery that requires a bit of effort. Arm works well with above average arm speed through a high-¾ slot. First base line finish.
Fastball: 79-81 mph. Ball comes out well/could have more in the tank. 2000-2200 spin rate guy with mid 80s spin efficiency.
Curveball: Near 12/6 breaking ball that shows potential. Big bite with some depth to it,.
Changeup:
Pitchability: Inconsistent throughout his outing.
Hit: Shows a back load to hands during controlled stride. Slightly downhill stroke with a bit mroe strength than speed to hands. Worked the middle of the field in BP, showing natural lift to the big part of the field.
Power: 74.9 mph was top exit velocity in BP.
Offensive Projection: Table Setter.
Field: Uses an uptempo pace over at third base. Plays fast too and through. Ball skills are developing.
Throw: Arm is an above average tool over there. Ball has jump out of the hand.
Defensive Projection: 3B.
Body Type: 6-foot, 170-pound thin frame with room to add.
Mechanical/Delivery Notes: Uses the lower half well being efficient and explosive. A smooth and compact arm action in a high ¾ slot. Overall athletic delivery with velocity gains to come as size increases.
Fastball: 77-81 mph. Electric fastball with a 2,200-2,300 rpm spin rate. Above average command with ability to locate on both corners of the plate.
Curveball: 64-68 mph. Tight spin with sharp movement on a 11/5 plane. Swing and miss pitch serving as an out pitch. Ability to locate within the zone consistently.
Changeup: 69-71 mph. A knuckling changeup that has glove side drop. Shown sparingly being in and out of the zone.
Pitchability: Above average pitchability.
Additional Comments: Good stuff that should see velocity gains with added mass to frame.
Egnor features a jerky quick delivery. He stands at 6-foot, and 170-pounds with room to grow. He gets over his front side well and throws a Fastball ranging from 76-77 mph. His curveball breaks 9/4 and is thrown at 62-67 mph. His Knuckleball showed good “dance” to it at 63-67 mph. Egnor has room to grow into his body and will see improvements on the mound as a result. Two-way prospect. Starts in a wider setup at the plate from the right side. Goes with a simple yet efficient load before launching from back side. Path is slightly uphill with a balanced offering of strength/speed through the zone presently. Contact bat at this stage who should see more thump as physical maturation takes its course. At third base he plays with quick feet in his approach. Would like to see him play a bit lower through fielding. Plays fast with adequate ball skills.
