Body Type: 6-foot-1, 165-pound frame.
Swing Mechanics: Right-handed hitter that starts in a balanced stance. Simple, repeatable load that creates balance.
Hit: Level stroke with physicality. Bat speed is developing but respectable. ball comes off well. A chance to be dynamic as he twitches up. Very solid round. Landed on a few balls in BP, especially to the middle of the field.
Power: 91.5 off the bat in BP.
Offensive Projection: Run producer upside.
Field: Smooth actions in the infield with good rhythm throughout. Ball skills are on par for his class.
Throw: Over the top arm slot with very short and compact action. Developing arm strength.
Defensive Projection: Corner infield.
Body Type: 6-foot-1, 165-pound thin build
Mechanical/Delivery Notes: Slow tempo delivery that is compact and efficient. Shows good direction, uses a long arm action through a ¾ slot with some effort.
Fastball: Fastball sat 75-76 mph, the pitch is mostly straight working on a downward plane.
Curveball: At 67-69 mph the breaking ball has good spin and a fairly sharp 11/5 shape.
Changeup: Changeup is thrown with fastball like arm action. The pitch shows slight sinking action near the zone at 63-66 mph.
Pitchability: Strike thrower. Showed good feel for all of his pitches, breaking ball has a chance to be an out pitch.

Tierney has an average build at 5-foot-11, 160-pounds. He throws from a slow windup but gets downhill well. He throws from a ¾ arm slot to throw a fastball between 73-75 mph. His curveball is slow and breaks on a 10/4 plane at 65-66 mph. Changeup does show some downward movement to it at 58-61 mph. Also, we saw him throw a slider at 62-64 mph. Tierney does a good job with his mechanics and will benefit from maturing and filling out his frame. At the corner plays with confidence in his hands and above average feel for the glove. Shows the ability to adjust to any hop while athleticism in his actions and constantly keeping the feet moving. Loose, long arm action through a low ¾ slot. A right-handed hitter that starts in a taller setup. Uses a simple, fluid load before launching from a balanced position. Swing is slightly downhill with apparent strength and speed to hands. Line drive hitter with gap abilities. Showed the ability to backspin the ball to both gaps. Sneaky pop in there. Squared up the baseball consistently. Solid round of BP.
