6-foot, 160 pound middle infield prospect fields out of a wide stance, showed nice hands and solid ability coming through the ball setting himself up to follow his accurate throws. Recorded a 75 mph throwing velocity across the diamond. Footwork was nice showing swift mobility and took good angles while attacking the ball. A righty swinger that starts in a balanced setup. Loading sequence shoes a slight back load with hands during his short stride for timing. A back leg hitter that takes an uphill to level path to the baseball. Barrel gets in and out of the zone quickly. Can get around the baseball at times. Produced impressive pop and natural ball flight when working inside the baseball. Both strength and bat speed are above average tools for class.

6-foot, 160 pound middle infielder displayed good glovework at the event coming through the ball well taking his momentum towards first base. Schmidtz slings it from a lower arm angle across the diamond at 77 mph, but there is control behind it. His footwork looked okay, but there is room for improvement to get in better positions to attack the ball. Offensively, he stroked several line-drives with good power as he had an 83 mph exit velocity. He also ran a 4.02 home to first. His lower half needs more involvement getting to a strong finish. If he can relax his top hand more along with his grip, his barrel will go through the zone more smoothly and increase bat speed. Good size frame with potential.

Ran a 7.43 60-yard dash. A right-handed hitter that starts in a slightly open stance. Gets back to even through a toe turn load. Barrel launches from a vertical position giving him easy whip through the zone. A strong kid who swings with intent. Ball jumps when he finds the barrel. Would like to see him add rhythm to load to create more consistent timing. Has all the tools to do damage. Recorded an exit velocity of 82 mph. In the infield he uses a slower pace prior to fielding. Fields in the middle of his body with the majority of his weight on his heels. Moves well laterally and ball skills remain on the move. Displayed the ability to throw from multiple arm slots. Threw it across the infield with 72 mph arm strength.
