1/30/18
A corner guy in the infield with smooth actions. Feet work well, creating angles to maintain rhythm through fielding into his throws. Ball skills are above average and transfer is quick. Has the functional athleticism for the third base position. A handsy hitter that has both twitch and strength to his hands. Although lower half doesn’t create a ton of energy it does create consistent timing. Generates gap pop and really struck the ball well in BP. Middle of the lineup type.

5-foot-11, 220-pound prospect. Thick build. Uses a high lift through a quick tempo delivery. Lands open at foot strike. Delivery does require some effort. Fastball was mostly straight at 74-77 mph. His breaking ball has 11/5 shape with some depth to it. That pitch sat 67-69 mph. He also showed a changeup at 67-71 mph, the pitch is thrown with good arm speed and has some fade to it. A lefty swinger with obvious strength to his swing. Uses a double tap to load his lower half. Hands stay simple prior to taking a downhill path to the baseball. Barrel gets in and out of the zone quickly. Ball jumps off his bat to his pull side. Would like to see him level out path to let natural tools show and use the whole field. Has more juice in there. In the infield, his feet are constantly moving. Creates angles towards first base and maintains momentum through his throws. Demonstrates ability to throw from different slots while on the move. Solid defensive skill set that should continue to improve as he develops physically.
