Luke Roggenburk: RHP/OF, (2021) St. Ignatius, OH. 6-foot-4, 220-pound athletic frame. In the box, Roggenburk recorded an exit velocity of 92 mph. Begins in a balanced stance with a smooth high load, then uses a leg kick. Had a level rotational swing plane and average bat speed. Solid in the outfield, his throws to the bases were maxed out at 84 mph; shows soft hands, a clean exchange, and smooth feet. Fields the ball one hand, movements laterally were athletic. Used a quick arm action on his throws. In the 60-yard dash, he clocked a time of 7.26. On the mound, showing good arm speed he used a ¾ arm angle and a quick arm action. Drop-and-drive type pitcher and uses easy effort. Has an athletic balance point. Sat with his fastball at 78-84 mph; has glove side command and running action. Shows a 11/5 curveball (63-68) with gradual action. His changeup (70-73) showed fading action and arm side command. 

Hit: Right-handed hitter that starts in an upright setup. Uses a simple yet efficient load that leads to a balanced launch
Power: Gap abilities.
Offensive Projection: Middle ceiling.

Scouting Notes: Very interesting prospect. 6-foot-4, up to 84mph at 2400+rpms that's complemented by a sharp breaker. Flashed quality present stuff with a much higher ceiling.

2/16/20 Position Player
Hit: A balanced setup with simple timing at the plate. Level swing which creates varied ball flight from floor to ceiling. Physical over speed in stroke but both tools are above average. 
Power: 88 mph exit velocity off the tee. Gap abilities
Offensive Projection: middle of the lineup
Field: Aggressive attacking the ball, not letting it play him. Active feet making sure he works around the baseball to make good throws
Throw: 87 mph from the outfield
Defensive Projection: Corner OF

2/16/20 Pitching
Delivery Notes: Looks the part of a reliever big leg kick, short quick arm, and get the most out of his lower half. Should see velocity increase as he gets stronger. Very intriguing arm that is a tough present matchup due to slot/quality movement on all offerings. Upside is obvious.
Fastball: Topped at 83 mph, heavy run, more to come.
Curveball: Between 66-69 mph, slurvish look, darts across the zone.
Changeup: 68-70 mph, good sell.

Body Type: 6-foot 4, 190-pound, tall projectable frame
Mechanical/Delivery Notes: The righrty pitching prospect utilizes the tall frame into a tall and fall motion. Smooth delivery with a large leg kick into a fluid motion toward the plate. Prospect works into a near ¾ slot with fluid arm action.
Fastball: 74-76mph. Fastball works down from his tall frame and stays true through the zone. 1800-2000 rpms, with low 90s spin effiiciency. More expected velo to come down the road as he fills his tall frame.
Curveball: 66-67mph. The breaking ball come in at an 11/5 break. Big shape, gradual break that is located well in the zone and used in all counts.
Changeup: 69-71mph. Above average third offering that mixes up well with his first two. The changeup has some late fall off action with slight cut, away from right-handed hitters.
Pitchability: Expect more development from all offers from this above average prospect from his class .

Body Type:  6-foot-4, 190-pound thin frame.
Swing Mechanics:  Simple load with the lower half while keeping his hands loaded until contact.
Hit:  Downhill bat path with a pull side approach.
Power:  Flashed it to the pull side.  More to come as he adds size and develops.
Offensive Projection:  TBD.
Field: In the outfield he plays with quick feet. Gets too and through the baseball well with above average ball skills.
Throw: Arm works well. Already above average strength with much more to come.
Defensive Projection: Corner.

Body Type: 6-foot-4, 185-pound very projectable, long limbed frame.
Swing Mechanics: Very simple approach mechanically to loading sequence.
Hit: Long lever type with much more to come as he adds strength. Swing travels on a downhill path to contact with developing natural tools. Worked all over the field in BP.
Power: 80 mph exit velocity. Line drive pop with much more to come.
Offensive Projection: TBD.
Run: 7.59 60-yard dash.
Field: Corner frame and skill set in the outfield. Gets too and through the ball in a timely fashion, sporting ball skills on par for class.
Throw: Long arm action with some looseness to it through a near over the top slot. Could see more velo as he adds strength.
Defensive Projection: Corner Outfield.

Body Type: 6-foot-4, 185-pound very projectable, long limbed frame. 
Mechanical/Delivery Notes: Right-hander that works exclusively from the stretch. Long, loose arm through a ¾ slot. 
Fastball: 77-79 mph, very heavy run to it. Looked like a left-handed slider at times. 
Curveball: 67-68 mph,  pairs well with heater. 10/4 shape with some sharpness to it and projects for more. Looks comfortable with the offering. 
Changeup: 66 mph, above average offering. Heavy fading action to the pitch. 
Pitchability: Filled up the zone throughout his outing. 
Additional Comments: Definite follow. Uber projectable frame with quality stuff. Nothing is straight.

A right-handed hitter that starts in a balanced stance. Loading sequence is simple, incorporating a short stride for timing. Hands stay quiet throughout load before firing the barrel through teh zone on a downhill path. Offers more present strength than speed to hands. Squared the ball up often in BP, showing backspin abilities to pull side gap and up the middle. Run producer qualities. A corner type in the outfield with fluid actions. Ball skills play as above average through fielding. Plays through the baseball cleanly before showing an above average, accurate arm to home plate. Two-way prospect. On the bump the right-hander has a projectable, long limbed frame. Arm is long and loose through a ¾ slot. Creates good direction with lower half, getting down the mound well with energy. Fastball has natural run at 72-76 mph. Shows the physical signs of more velocity to come. Slider works well out of the ¾ slot running across the plate at at 64-67 mph. Also offers a changeup with some dive at 64-65 mph.

In the outfield he plays fast with an infielder look to him at fielding. Would be aided by learning to play one-handed through the baseball to maintain energy into throws. Arm strength is developing and will play a large factor in what outfield spot he ends up at. At the plate he starts in a slightly closed setup from the right side. Goes with a leg kick for timing well keeping hands simple prior to launch. Path is slightly downhill, showing developing natural tools through the zone. An all fields hitter with a middle of a lineup type frame. Bigger ceiling that most and he is far from it physically. Expect much more pop as physical maturation takes its course.
