Luke Walton: LHP/OF, (2022) Perkins, OH. Toledo Commit, 6-foot, 185-pound athletic frame. During batting practice, Walton's best exit velocity was 94 mph. Begins in a balanced athletic stance with a smooth load, then uses a controlled stride. Bat speed was explosive, used an upward swing plane and high finish. Athletic from the outfield, his best throws to the bases were registered at 86 mph; shows soft hands, a fluid exchange, and consistent athletic feet. Showed an-over-the-top slot and a quick arm action. Performed well in the 60-yard dash, clocking a speedy time of 6.95. Athletic on the mound, using a consistent arm action he showed quick arm speed from an over-the-top arm angle. Drop-and-drive type pitcher and uses some effort. Showed an athletic balance point. Curveball (66-68 mph), changeup (72-74 mph).Sat with his fastball at 81-83 mph.

Hit: Big projectable strong frame with plus pop off the bat. Very fluid mechanically sound swing. Creates contact well and can hit all sides of the field.
Power: Plus power for class with an 87mph exit velo.
Offensive Projection: Power hitter/run producer/gap to gap
Field: Gets off the bag well, presents good footwork. Aggressive approach in the outfield, comes up firing.
Throw: Live arm with an 78mph infield velo and 82mph outfield velo.
Defensive Projection: Centerfield


Body Type: 5-foot-10, 155-pound athletic frame.
Swing Mechanics: Lefty swinger that starts in an athletic setup. Goes with a smooth knee pinch during back load with hands.
Hit: Ambush approach in BP. Path is level with fast hands and some heaviness to hands at contact. Ball came off the bat well. Pull side approach. Generates regular line drives in BP.
Power: Line drive guy with flashes of gap pop. 88.5 was top exit velocity in BP.
Offensive Projection: Multiple Roles.
Field: Quick footed outfielder that gets too and through the ball in a timely fashion. Good athlete out there with above average ball skills.
Throw: Clean arm that will easily support added velocity with physical maturity. 79 mph to home plate.
Defensive Projection: Multiple positions.


Body Type: 5-foot-10, 155-pound athletic frame.
Mechanical/Delivery Notes: A medium leg kick with an explosive lower half. A smooth and tight arm action with finesse on the mound.
Fastball: 75-77mph. Apparent arm side run with ability to locate on both corners of the plate. 1,900-2,100 rpm spin rate with high 90% efficiency on Rapsodo.
Curveball: 59-60mph. A sharp breaker on a 1/7 plane that compliments the fastball well. Ability to locate within the zone consistently.
Pitchability: Above average locating on both corners of the plate with both pitches.
Additional Comments: Has good feel for the mound and knows how to pitch it.
