1/30/18

A righty swinger that starts in a balanced setup. Goes with a slight back load during his knee pinch timing trigger. Bat travels on a downhill path to contact showing strength to his hands through contact. Swing is compact and he showed feel to the opposite field gap. Behind the dish does a nice job of creating direction with his feet during exchange. Transfer was mostly clean. Should see easy improvements in pop times as arm strengthens.

Home to First: 4.22

Catcher Velocity: 68

Pop Times: 2.07-2.21

Exit Velocity: 80

2/18/17
5-foot-7, 145-pound prospect. Starts in low crouch with feet just outside his shoulders. Hands work quick and back to his ear. Short arm action through over the top slot. Arm strength needs to continue to improve behind the dish for the next level. Top velocity of 65 mph on his throws with pop times between 2.32 to 2.40. A contact type guy at the plate that has feel for the barrel. Swing is short and compact with some quickness to his bat. Consistently found the barrel and was at his best when he worked to the middle of the field.

Home to First: 4.54
Catcher Velocity: 65
Pop Time: 2.32-2.4
Exit Velocity: 78

2/1/17
A righty swinger that starts in a crouched setup. Uses a small leg kick to get things started while keeping hands simple. Gets on plane early and showed solid strength through contact. Consistently found the barrel in batting practice. Uses quick footwork in the outfield. Showed confidence in his glove as he played through the ball. Would like to see him finish his throws more consistently. Behind the plate, he starts with his glove foot slightly ahead. Shows some quickness in his footwork. Transfer has room to improve with better glove to hand exchange. Throws with short arm action through high ¾ slot. Pop times between 2.13 to 2.29.

Pop Time: 2.13-2.29
Catcher Velocity: 63
Outfield Velocity: 71
Exit Velocity: 76
