Delivery Notes: Miami (OH Commit). What a difference a year has made for DeMonica. Much more physical, more quality movement and everything has twitched up. Turned himself into a legitimate prospect.
Fastball: Elite spin rate guy. Fastball hisses through the zone, topping 88 mph.
Fastball Spin Rate: 2490-2500.
Curveball: Near plus offering for class. Hammer of a breaking ball. Legitimate swing/miss potential. 74-76 mph.
Curveball Spin Rate: 2500-2570.
Changeup: More than serviceable third offering with quality horizontal action.
Pitchability: Strike thrower.

Body Type: 5-foot-10, 145-pound athletic frame.
Mechanical/Delivery Notes: Southpaw works exclusively from the stretch. Gets down the well with an efficient lower half. Arm works and ball comes out without a ton of effort.
Fastball: 80-82 mph. Offers above average arm speed for class. Expect that 80-82 mph to be higher in the near future. Much more to come.
Curveball: 68-71 mph. Slurivsh look to it. DeMonica looks to have very good feel for the offering that grades out as an above average pitch. 
Changeup: 70-72 mph. More than playable, offering run/cut to it.
Pitchability: Impressive three pitch mix for class.
Role: Starter.

5-foot-8, 125 pound left handed pitching prospect has a smaller build to him but produces good intent in his actions. DeMonica has good mechanics with a clean arm action that stayed consistent throughout his motion while releasing from a ¾ arm slot. He delivery flows well as he gets to a strong throwing position at foot strike after driving downhill. FB sat 73-75 with glove side run and accuracy. His CH had similar arm action as his FB creating some deception at 67-68 mph. His CB saw similar velocity as his CH with decent break which can be improved if he pulls it down harder. Threw all three pitches in the zone with strong command leading to plenty of upside with his abilities.
