Exchange skills are quick and he has ideal arm action for the position. Throws were consistently on the bag. Registered pop times between 2.18-2.23, showing 71 mph arm strength to second base. A physical bat from the right side. Starts in a balanced setup and shift weight to back leg during his leg kick load. Does a nice job of controlling weight and getting back to a balance setup at launch. Uses an easy back load with hands during his stride. Path is level and strength is noticeable through contact. Ball jumps off his bat, showing easy gap pop to both fields. Showed his well above average natural tools by registering an exit velocity of 91 mph.
5/31/17 A right-handed hitter that starts in a wider setup. Strong kid with a fast bat. Ball jumps off his bat when he finds the barrel. Drove the ball with authority to his pull side in batting practice. Flashed power potential. Middle of the lineup skill set. Behind the plate he has a solid frame for the position. Has some flexibility to his hips. Creates direction with his footwork during his transfer. Will need to quicken exchange moving forward.
