8/12/18
Right-handed pitching prospect in the ‘19 class. Smooth tempo to his efficient delivery. Athletic action on the bump. Arm works well through a high-¾ slot. Gets down the mound well with energy and solid direction. Fastball will show life to both sides of the plate at 81-83 mph. Can see more velo in there down the road. Spins the breaking ball well giving it both depth and sharp action on an 11/5 plane. The 73-76 mph spinner has present swing/miss to it and he’ll throw it often. Still developing feel for the changeup that has late dive to it. Colleges in need of ‘19 arm should take a look at Herron.

6/6/18
6-foot, 170-pound. Right-handed pitching prospect with Ethan build. Fluid delivery that requires regular effort, long arm action working through a 3/4 slot. shows pitch ability with his three pitch mix. Fastball sat 79 to 82 with slight sinking Action. Shows the ability to spin the breaking ball, the pitch has been 11 to 5 shape at 68 to 72 mph. Also showed good feel for the changeup at 75 to 76 mph the pitch has regular sink and run.

2/4/18

Right handed arm uses a quicker paced delivery. Fastball comes from a high ¾ slot after getting good extension on the backside. Fastball shows some natural sink that could produces a significant number of ground balls.at 80-84 mph. Impressive velocity jump since we saw him last. Curveball works in a 11/5 manner with gradual break at 67-71 mph. Also mixed in a changeup with some downward action at 73-75 mph.

6/20/17
On the bump the right handed arm uses an up tempo delivery that requires some effort. Uses a big left lift before coming to a balance point to initiate momentum toward home with the lower half. Arm action is longer and really gets extension toward 2nd base out of the glove. Ball comes through a near over the top arm slot. Fastball shows some life with occasional ASR ranging from 75-78 mph. Spins a breaking ball with 11/5 shape that shows gradual break at 60-64 mph. Also showed developing feel for his changeup. The offering showed similar run to his fastball at 67-68 mph.
