Patrick Fultz: SS/3B, (2022) Springfield Shawnee, OH. Wright State Commit, 6-foot, 200-pound. In the box, Fultz clocked an exit velocity of 96 mph. (66.0 mph bat speed average). (22.3 mph hand speed average). Started in an athletic quiet stance with a controlled load, then used a small leg kick. Bat speed is quick, uses a short simple swing plane and good extension on his finish. Solid while in the infield, recorded position velocities up to 83 mph; shows quick feet, a natural exchange, and soft hands. Fielded the ball out front with athletic movement laterally. Showed a quick arm action with a high ¾ slot. In the 60-yard dash, he clocked a time of 7.13.

Body Type: 5-foot-11, 160 pounds. Athletic, lean frame with room to add.

Swing Mechanics: Hits out of a balanced stance that provides great rhythm in his loading process. Gets whole body involved in swing well generating positive momentum into his swing.

Hit: Great contact overall producing barrel action on the majority of his pitches.

Power: 74 mph exit velocity. More in his tank left too.

Offensive Projection: TBD for now. Plenty of upside offensively.

Run: 8.11 seconds 60-yard.
Field: As an infielder he showed great glovework fielding the ball with ease each time. Works through the ball well as he approaches grounders.

Throw: 71 mph across the diamond showing solid arm strength for a ‘22 with ability to hit first baseman on target.  
Defensive Projection: Third base with his arm strength but moves well enough to have middle infield in his future.
