Summer 2020:�The top 2021 pitching prospect for the Dock Spiders, Bergert is an athletic right-hander who will sit 89-91 and touch 93-94 with a high spin, swing/miss fastball. He also tunnels an above average, mid-80s slider exceptionally well with his heater, allowing the breaker to play up. It’s late, sharp and another swing/miss pitch in his arsenal. This summer Bergert has struck out 31 in 27 IP, while allowing just 15 hits, good for a 2.33 ERA. At a durable 6-foot-2, 210 pounds he repeats a starter-type delivery with good tempo and a clean arm action. He’s currently ranked No. 101 overall in the recently released�D1Baseball 2021 College Prospect rankings.
