Talon Borders: OF/2B, (2022) Carlisle, OH. 5-foot-8, 155-pound athletic frame. In the box, the right-handed hitter clocked an exit velocity of 83 mph. Began in a balanced stance with a tight load, then used a toe tap. Bat speed was above average, had a loose an inside-out swing plane and high finish. Up the middle approach. Solid recorded an outfield position velocity of 83 mph; has a quick exchange, sure hands, and consistent feet. Had an-over-the-top slot and a quick arm action with occasional accuracy to the base. 

Body Type:  5-foot-7, 145-pound athletic frame.

Swing Mechanics:  Simple to tap load that gets everything in sync well.

Hit:  Good feel in the box with a level bat path.  Middle of the field approach that allows him to get inside the baseball well.
Power: 77.6 off the bat in BP. Line drive guy with gap abilities.
Offensive Projection: Multiple Roles. Ball jumps and he has feel.
Field: Good athlete that moves well in the outfield. Ball skills also appear to be above average for class.
Throw: Arm is a big tool out there. Ball jumps out of hand.
Defensive Projection: Multiple Spots.

A right-handed bat that starts in a balanced setup. Uses a double tap for timing before accelerating the barrel on an uphill path to contact. Twitchy hitter that sprays line drives all over the field. Takes a strong BP but hit tool really shows in game. Borders also had a strong showing defensively, standing out in the outfield. Obvious athleticism out there with fluid actions and a BIG arm.

A right-handed hitter that starts in an athletic stance. Uses a double tap for timing has hands move to a strong launch position. Balanced swing with a level path through the zone. Impressive combination of natural tools and feel for squaring up the baseball. Ball really jumps, generating much louder pop than frame would suggest. Impressive hit tool in general that shows up in BP and game. Worked out in both the infield and outfield. A versatile defender that showed an above average skill set in both the infield and outfield. A good athlete with a big arm. Profiles on the left side of the infield and skill set plays in multiple position in the outfield.

Frame and skill set are an ideal fit for the second base position. Actions are fluid and ball skills are well above average for class. Showed defensive versatility by playing the outfield as an above average clip as well. A righty swinger that uses a toe tap to get things going. Weight starts over back leg before transferring into a more balanced position at footstrike. A line drive swing in general. Bat plays in a table setter role presently. Looks to be an above average runner as well. On a 5 tools scale he grades out as above average or better in each for class.
