5/29/18
A 6-foot-3, long limbed frame with a ton of physical projection left on frame. Very interesting prospect. Arm speed doesn’t match velocity, moving faster than typical for the number that showed up on the radar. Good sign that there is more velocity in there. Fastball has regular cut at 77-82 mph. Wouldn’t be surprised in the least bit if he’s a mid 80s guy before it’s all said and done. Also shows a big breaking, downer of a curveball that he was consistently in the zone with at 62-65 mph.

Crall is an intriguing prospect in the 2019 class. At 6-3 and 185 pounds there is room to add mass to his projectable frame. The delivery has good rhythm as he works out of a high-¾ slot. His height and slot create a downward angle on a fastball that sat 79-82 mph with some arm side run. Best secondary offering is an 11/5 breaking ball. At 66-67 mph the pitch is sharp and tunnels well off the fastball. Crall also showed fastball like arm speed on a 70-71 mph changeup with sink.

On the mound the right-hander fluidity to his delivery that he is able repeat. Works through a high-¾ slot with above average arm speed. A confident presence on the mound that consistently attacked hitters with his 77-80 mph fastball. He complimented his fastball with a 10/4 shaped breaking ball. The pitch has some sharpness and depth to it at 61-64 mph. Was consistently in the zone with both of his offerings. Solid overall performance.

6-foot-2, 180-pound, projectable frame. The right-hander uses a quick tempo delivery. Works through a ¾ slot with a long arm action. Creates some deception with a high glove side. Lands open at foot strike. The fastball was 74-77 mph with slight arm side run. His breaking ball had a slurvy shape to it with gradual break between 63-66 mph. The changeup was thrown with good arm speed. The pitch has some fade and sat 67-71 mph.
