2/13/18

Right-handed hitter at the plate. Balanced setup prior to getting into his leg kick load. Barrel flows through a bat tip movement, maintaining rhythm into launch. Path is downhill showing strength to his hands at contact. Bat has some quickness to it. A flatter path would allow natural tools to show more frequently. A middle infielder that uses short, choppy footwork in his approach. Takes direct routes to the baseball, cutting distance off the bat. Showed average glove skills. Lateral mobility will need to continue to improve to stay up the middle at the next level. Skill set presently fits second base.

Behind the plate, his feet start slightly narrow. Footwork is still developing. Transfers the ball from the glove quickly up to the ear. Throws from a 3/4 slot slightly uphill. On the mound, the right-handed pitcher uses a quick tempo delivery. Uses his upper body more to generate his momentum. Front foot lands slightly closed upon impact. Ball comes out of his hand well from a ¾ arm slot. Fastball works downhill with some spot up accuracy. Curveball comes in on a 12-6 shape with gradual break. Also shows a developing changeup thrown with similar arm speed. A right-handed hitter that starts in a taller setup. Initiates movement with a fluid leg kick. Creates barrel momentum through a bat tip load with his upper half. Path is slightly downhill with above average bat speed for his class. Strength looks to be his top tool at the plate. Ball gets off his bat well especially to his pull side. Impressive natural tools for his age. Was at his best when his barrel flowed to the middle of the field.
