On the mound the southpaw works exclusively from the stretch. Delivery requires little effort. Arm has obvious looseness and whip to it. Works through a near ¾ slot. Pounded the zone with his fastball/breaking ball combo. Fastball had heavy run to it at 77-80 mph. Hides the ball well and fastball gets on hitters faster than velocity would indicate. Curveball was sharp, with a slurvish look to it at 70-72 mph. Displayed solid feel for the pitch, throwing it in any count.

On the mound the southpaw works exclusively from the stretch. Arm has obvious looseness to it working through near high-¾ slot. Ball comes out of his hand well with his fastball sitting 77-80 mph. Has more velocity in there once he learns to use his lower half more efficiently. Breaking ball was very tight with depth. The pitch has swing and miss to it at 69-71 mph. Works off his fastball and goes to the curve to put hitters away.

6-foot-0, 225 pounds with a solid, thick frame. Displays a live arm throughout delivery towards the plate. Whippy-like arm action through a ¾ slot. Fastball sits between 78-79 mph while displaying some arm-side run. Breaking ball displays tight breaking action while ranging between 64-67 mph. Also mixes in a 72-74 mph changeup.

Mechanical/Delivery Notes: Frame has noticeably improved since we saw him last fall. Easy delivery with a very loose arm. Should have more velo left in the tank.
Fastball: 76-78 mph with some arm side life.
Curveball: Big, slurvish shape. Looks like he has solid feel for the offering.
Pitchability: Strike thrower.
