8/6/17

A talented two-way prospect. Very projectable on the mound. His 6-foot-4 frame still has a ton of room to add strength. Arm works well through a high-¾ slot. Arm has obvious looseness to it with above average arm speed. Fastball comes out of his hand well, sitting in the mid 80s. Breaking ball was very sharp and he showed feel for the offering. Puts good spin on it, giving it sharpness and depth. A high ceiling arm that continues to get better. Was dominant in his outing. A right-handed hitter that starts in a tall setup. Load is quiet and fluid. High ceiling in the box. Natural tools are impressive and he has much more room to fill out his projectable frame. Ball comes off his bat well. Middle of the lineup potential. In the outfield he has fluidity to his actions and showed obvious feel for the position. Ball skills are well above average. Arm is on the verge of being a plus tool. Ball jumps out of his hand.

6/6/17
A two-way prospect in the 2018 class. Has a high ceiling on the mound at 6-foot-4 with long limbs. Arm is long and loose with above average arm speed.  Fastball comes out of his hand well sitting 81-84 mph. Spins an 11/5 shaped breaking ball with some sharpness to it at 64-66 mph. At the plate he starts open and gets back to even through a knee pinch load and short stride. Bat starts and stays vertical prior to launch. Path is flat with solid barrel whip through contact. Flashed middle of the order tools in batting practice. In the outfield he uses calm footwork approaching the ball. Plays through the ball well. Ball gets out of his hand well and throws showed carry.

2/18/17
6-foot-4, 195-pound very projectable frame. A definite arm to follow in the 2018  class. On the mound the right-hander has a fluid tempo to his lower effort delivery. Arm works well through a high-¾ slot. Arm is loose and has well above average arm speed. Fastball showed run at times while sitting 83-85 mph, touching 87 mph multiple times. Showed decent feel for his changeup that had some fade to it at 77-79 mph. Breaking ball had tightness to it on a near 12/6 plane at 68-70 mph. Needs to be more consistently in the zone with the pitch. A right-handed bat that impressed with his performance in batting practice. His vertical barrel placement gives him early bat speed while creating solid whip/direction with his barrel. Repeatedly drove the gaps in batting practice and showed signs of power potential to come. From the outfield, he approaches the ball in a controlled manner. Tendency to field the ball inside his shoulders. Would like to see him field it to the outside of his glove foot and maintain momentum. Big time arm strength projects him as a corner outfield type.
