Swings it from the right side, starting in a balanced stance. Hands stay quiet during his leg kick timing mechanism. A front foot hitter that takes a slightly downhill path to the baseball. Strength and bat speed both appear to be above average tools for class. Swings with intent/doesn’t get cheated up there. A line drive stroke with flashes of gap capabilities. A corner type in the infield. Actions are quiet and hands look reliable. Tends to play from heels at times. Behind the dish he has fluidity to his actions. Exchange skills are clean, showing developing quickness. Pop times will progress as arm strengthens.

5-foot-10, 155-pound prospect. Behind the dish, he starts in a stance with his feet just outside his shoulder. Starts flat footed. Creates good direction with his footwork. Clean exchange. Would like to see more quickness in his transfer. Short arm action with pop times between 2.39 to 2.45. Offensively, he had the look of a contact guy. Swing is short and compact on a slightly downhill path. Was at his best when he worked to the middle of the field. A very young hitter whose natural tools are still developing.

Uses a series of well timed, fluid movements to his loading sequence. Movement shouldn’t be an issue as he looks to know his body. Bat plane is level with efficient whip through the zone. Consistently found the barrel in batting practice. Swing is efficient and pop should increase with maturity. An athletic infielder that plays with confidence. Actions are more fluid in his funnel. How lateral mobility progresses with maturity will determine if he is in the middle or corners at the next level. Behind the dish, he starts in a wide stance. Footwork has some length to it. Gets tall early. Transfer is short and to the ear. Throws with short arm action through high ¾ slot. Pop times ranged between 2.28 to 2.35.
Pop Time: 2.28-2.35
Catcher Velocity: 65
Infield Velocity: 70
Exit Velocity: 76
