Flynn Sage: LHP/OF, (2022) Cascia Hall, OK. 6-foot-3, 205-pound physical frame. At the plate, the right-handed hitter had a max exit velocity of 88 mph. Begins in a wide balanced stance with a big slow load, then uses a toe tap to initiate his swing. Bat speed is some, uses flat swing plane and a back foot finish. Found some barrels with some loud contact. Gap to gap approach. Athletic in the outfield, he showed the ability to make throws to the bases at 78 mph; had developing footwork, a developing exchange and firm hands. Used a short arm action with a ¾ slot. Displayed speed and athleticism at the event, recording a 60 time of 6.8. Advanced on the mound, used a short arm action and a high ¾ arm angle while showing some arm speed. Up-tempo type pitcher and uses some effort. Shows downhill shoulders. Lands square with an upright finish. Produced a fastball that came in at 80-84 mph; showed control and tailing action. His 10/4 curveball (67-70) is commanded low in the zone. His changeup (74-75) shows fading action and around the zone.
