The recent Oklahoma State commit, Sahtwell stands a long lean, and projectable 6-foot-2, 155-pound frame with lots of room to continue to add size and strength. On the mound, the right-hander works from a controlled and deliberate delivery with a very early hand break and a  slight pause at the top of a moderate leg kick before gliding to the dish and finishing balanced. Arm action is long and loose in the back before coming through a high-¾ slot with advanced arm speed. Fastball shows consistent and heavy arm-side sink and run at 84-86 mph with much more in the tank. Slider flashes 10/4 shape with some depth, still developing at 73-78 mph.

Uses a moderate leg kick before launching his hands on a flat and rotational path to contact with a high finish. In BP, shows a middle to pull approach with occasional lift, mostly barrels, 81 mph exit velo. Runs a 7.28 60. Defensively, shows quick feet with long strides and average hands. Throws with a long, loose, and fluid arm action with advanced arm strength with some accuracy at 86 mph.
