12-17-17
A proportional 6-foot-1, 175-pound frame with some strength. Offensively, the right-handed hitter bats from a narrow set-up with a slightly rotational load, a moderate stride and slight arm bar. In BP, shows a middle to pull approach, barreling most balls with more pop than his 85 mph exit velo would suggest especially to the pull gap. Runs a 7.44 60.  Defensively, a well advanced receiver and blocker with a quick, strong, and accurate arm, 1.85-1.93 showcase pop times.
2/4/18
A lean 6-foot-1, 175-pound frame with some strength. Offensively, the right-handed hitter bats from a narrow and upright set-up with slight rhythm in his hands. Uses a small coiling load with a long stride and arm bar before launching his hands on a flat path through extension. In BP, shows a middle of the field approach with consistent lift, mostly barrels, advanced bat speed, 92 mph exit velocity. Runs a 7.39 60. Defensively, receives from a very narrow base showing excellent hands and very little extra movement. Uses quick and precise footwork along with quick and sure handed exchanges to produce showcase pop times  1.92-1.96, and has been down to 1.85. Throws from a over the top slot with a short quick and loose arm action with elite accuracy, the only catcher to put every throw on the bag, 77 mph.
6/6/18
A 6-foot-1, 178-pound proportional frame with room to add more strength. Offensively, the right-handed hitter bats from a quiet and slightly open and knee-knocked set-up. Uses a controlled leg kick and a moderate stride with an arm-bar load before launching his hands on a flat path through extension. In BP, shows a middle to opposite field flat approach with some barrels and flashing some pop, 92 mph exit velo. Runs a 7.32 second 60. Defensively, from behind the dish, is an elite receiver, catching from a quiet set-up and narrow base. Blocking skills are advanced with quickness and shows quick twitch and clean actions coming out of the crouch. Throws with a short arm stroke through a high-¾ slot, 77 mph to second base with elite accuracy and showcase pop times of 1.94-2.03. Also, athletic enough to play in the middle infield. In the game, was 0-for-2, but reached on an error, hustling down the line. Defensively, put a couple good throws on the bag to catch runners at second.
10/28/18
The recent NOC Enid commit has a proportional 6-foot-1, 178-pound frame with wiry strength. Offensively, the right-handed hitter bats from an upright, open, and relaxed set-up with some rhythm throughout. Uses a smooth and moderate knee-knock leg kick with a hand pump load before launching his barrel on a flat path through extension with bat speed and some length. In BP, shows an all fields approach flashing pop with some lift, found some barrels, 92 mph exit velo. Runs a 7.29 60. Defensively, shows elite receiving, beating the ball to the spot with quick, strong, and quiet hands, also shows excellent blocking abilities. Throws down with polished, efficient, and quick actions, exploding out of the crouch and putting most of his throws on the bag for showcase pop times of 1.85-1.96 seconds at 77 mph.
