On the mound, the right-hander works from a slightly up-tempo delivery with a moderate leg kick before sinking into his backside and striding to the dish before pitching over hit front side and finishing to the dish. Arm action is moderate, quick, and fluid in the back before coming through a high-¾ slot. Fastball keeps its plain at 74-78 mph, mostly stikes late. Changeup sits 69-70 mph with some fade. In the game, after getting into rhythm, O’Brien punched out three of the last four batters he faced.
