Shoemaker, a Great Lake Canadians product is an intriguing lefty arm in the 2020 class. On the mound, Shoemaker features a low-effort delivery where he is short out back and releases from a high ¾ arm slot. His fastball sits in the 80-81 range, and with a loose projectable frame, his velocity will increase over time. He flashed potential with both of his secondary offerings as when he gets out front they show the ability to be effective in the lower half of the zone. Shoemaker’s development will be interesting to watch as he has the makings of being a solid arm in the future.
