2025 Mississauga Preseason Invite
2027 RHP/1B Carter Grieveson (Barrie Baycats) is the 64th-ranked sophomore in Ontario and continues to flash his potential on the mound while the offensive numbers continue to tick upwards, as well. The 6-foot-1, 170-pound right-hander works with a fluid delivery that saw his fastball sat 79-81mph. Grieveson showed feel for his secondary stuff with a developing breaking ball at 66-69mph and changeup 65-67 with fade. At the plate, the right-handed hitter generated a max exit velocity of 91.1mph and average of 84.8mph. Still looks to be more upside as an arm and overall continues to get better each time we see him.
2024 Barrie Baycats Scout Day
Grieveson was another standout two-way talent from Barrie’s 2024 Ray Carter Cup team and looks the part at 6-foot-1, 170-pounds. On the mound, the fastball sat 77-79mph and there’s feel for the curveball with 12/6 shape at 62-64mph. He also featured a slider at 65mph. At the plate, the right-handed hitter works with a gap-to-gap, line-drive approach that generated a peak exit velocity of 88.2mph and distance of 318ft. Grieveson was a top performer on the TrackMan during his bullpen and batting practice and there looks to be more in the tank as he continues to fill out.
