2022 grad, Matheson is a 5-foot-10, 182-pound catcher for the Toronto Mets. During pop-times, he was in the 2.11-2.36 range, getting off throws up to 68 mph. He showed off clean footwork and an arm that worked with shortness outback. At the plate, he generates momentum with an aggressive leg kick, loading back with his hands and coming forward with bat speed, generating exit velocities up to 81 mph. Matheson is a guy to follow in the 2022 class.
