6-foot, 150-pounds, lean body with lots of room for growth and strength gains. Matt showed great feel with all three pitches, as well as effectively utilizing both sides of the plate from a ¾ arm slot and very quick arm. Brash topped out at 86 mph while sitting at 85-86 mph with his fastball showing natural tail and sink. Good feel for his changeup at 73-75 mph, he had arm speed deception and late run on his ball. His 65-67 mph curveball has 11/5 shape with late movement and sharp bite. Showed improvements since late October, only going to continue to get better. Brash has the tools to become a very effective pitcher, with the ability to throw strikes with all three pitches.

6-foot, 145-pound slender, projectable frame. Defensively, lower half is athletic and agile. Hands need work, tendency to stay back on ball. Arm is loose and easy across the diamond at 85 mph. At the plate, starts hands back, tendency to get under ball. Toe tap to stride, head moves a fair bit. Exit velocity was 74 mph while running a 5.03 40-yard dash. On the mound, works from ¾ angle with loose, easy actions. Arm speed is there, gets natural run and sink. Breaking ball showed tight spin and two-plane break, varied between 64-69 mph. Arm angle had tendency to drop on off-speed pitches. Changeup was 66-67, threw for strikes. Pounded the zone with all three pitches. More in the tank, interesting follow over the winter.
