Donnison, 6-foot-1, 180-pounds, threw an impressive inning this past week in Oakville at the Preseason ProCase. Donnison showcased a heavy 88-91 mph FB that got on hitters quickly. His sharp SL generated multiple uncomfortable swings and kept the hitters off-balance in the box at 79-82 mph. He showed pitchability being able to locate the FB on the corners and elevate when he wanted. The recent Illinois State commit is one of the top arms in Ontario’s 2023 class.
6-foot, 175-pounds, Donnison is a two-way guy for the Fieldhouse Pirates. Clean delivery on the mound, works in sync, makes good use out of his lower half. Arm works with a clean recoil and arm speed. He maximizes use out of his body, and allows his arm to work without restrictions. Has been in the upper 70’s, maxing out in the low-80’s. Donnison has shown the makings to contribute on the position-player side as well. He’s a must follow in the 2022 class.
2019 Jr. Future Games
Donnison, an outfielder out of Niagara ended up being 2/2 on the day. He’s a right-handed hitter with a nice stroke and found barrel early, driving a ball to left-field for a double. He later got an RBI single to score the 2nd run. There’s athleticism there, and he will be taking the ball in Game 2 tomorrow against Mississippi.
