Power and strength are evident with Sookdeo. Loud batting practice with numerous ball struck well and showing his power to his pull side. Was able to leave the ball park and show his quick bat and strength. Timing and balance in the box was there, foot was down and was able to get extended with finish. Arm was 82 mph across the diamond and from the outfield. Had carry and ball jumped out of his hand and stayed online. Good looking player with physical attributes and tools to his game.

6-foot, 190-pound prospect. Athletic stance with quick hands to the baseball. Clears the hips on contact allows for aggressive swing. Bat exit velocity recorded 90 mph. Fundamentally sound in the outfield with good glove actions and footwork. Works through the baseball well on throws to record a 82 mph arm velocity from the outfield. Patient infielder with soft hands. Accurate throws across the diamond at 78 mph.

Big strength gains for the Brampton Royal as he is now listed at 6-foot, 192-pounds with current strength and size. Ran a 4.50 from home to first and a 5.12 in the 40-yard dash. At the plate, Sookdeo showed power potential with his bat speed and strength. Starts from a balanced setup with an average leg kick to load. Made solid contact all round with great whip through the zone. Should have some of the top power in the Midget Elite League this year. Exit velocity wsa 91 mph. Defensively, worked from behind the plate and in the infield. May end up in the outfield though at some point. Arm was 76 mph from behind the plate and 82 mph across the infield. Top pop time was 2.06, can become quicker with feet and transfer, has the arm strength. In the infield, shows average hands and footwork. Arm is clean and plays. Quick release and gets it out front with carry. Look for a big summer from Sookdeo. 

Michael Sookdeo 3B (Mississauga Secondary HS, 2016)
Sookdeo stands 5-foot-11 180-pounds with a solid frame. At the plate his approach is wide with his weight back. He uses a small toe lift with a long swing that stays slightly inclined through contact. He gets good extension after contact and has a strong high finish. His bat speed was 81 mph off a tee. From 3B he stays behind the ball in a proper fielding position. He uses a clean transfer and throws from a mid ¾ slot getting his body through the finish of his throws. His arm strength was 75 mph across the diamond and he ran a 7.55 60 yard dash.
