4/12/25

Johnson was a Future Games arm last summer and is still one of the top uncommitted 2026 arms in Ontario. The 6-foot-3, 195-pound right-hander is looking stronger on the mound and it showed as the fastball velocity comfortably in the 87-88mph range throughout his bullpen, while filling up the zone with the pitch. The secondary stuff has trended upwards as well with the slider at 76-79mph (2300+) and changeup at 81-82mph (4.7” IVB/17.6” HM). An uncommitted arm in Ontario that schools need to be on as Johnson looks primed for a strong summer campaign.

3/22/25

The Prep Baseball Future Gamer is a name college coaches should keep close tabs on as we approach the ‘25 summer season. Unequivocally, Johnson is a formidable weapon on the mound that currently sits near the top in the rankings in his respective class. He is a long limbed 6-foot-3, 195-pound right-handed arm that moves well with feel for the operation. It is an easy 87-88 mph (2040+) heater and pairs it with a slider (2190+) that shows good bite. The ceiling is high for Oscar with potential to throw much harder down the road in the coming years.

7/28/24

Johnson is an arm who’s put together a strong summer and has steadily trended upwards since the fall of 2023. 6-foot-2, 185-pound right-hander with a clean arm, working from a ¾ armslot that helps create armside-run on the fastball, sitting 82-84 in Georgia. The sweeping slider compliments the FB well at 72-74mph and showed the ability to get some chase with it. It’s proved to be a quality two-pitch mix when the fastball is working in the mid-to-upper 80’s and remains one of the top arms in Ontario’s 2026 class.
