‘27 Tanner Morris out of the Sudbury Voyageurs has really put himself on the map over the past 6+ months and put together a strong fall/winter that has propelled him up to No. 19 in Ontario’s Class of 2027 Rankings. There’s some impact in the left-handed bat, which has gotten quicker over the winter, and strength in the frame at 6-foot-1, 195-pounds. Morris put up a peak exit velocity of 92.2mph and peak distance of 278ft. Morris was also up to 92mph from the outfield, pop-times of 1.97-2.15 and ran a 30-yard dash of 4.37. The Sudbury native has really trended upwards on the mound where he sat 83-84mph on the weekend, along with a curveball at 67-68mph and changeup at 78-79mph.
2/19/24

2027 two-way Tanner Morris flashed his potential on Monday, both with the bat and on the mound. The 5-foot-10, 170-pound left-handed hitter put together a quality round of BP with a peak exit velocity of 89.9mph (84.6avg) and distance of 321ft. The defensive side should be next to come for Morris who put together a best pop-time of 2.21 with 72mph arm. On the mound, the Sudbury product sat 77-78mph and partnered it with a curveball and changeup.
