Black is now a 6-foot-1, 190-pound prospect as the left-hander shows bat speed and gap power at the plate with lots of hard contact. Smooth actions defensively with a quick arm and arm strength. Profiles more as a second or third baseman at next level. Runs well and plays with energy. One of the top left-handed bats in the 18 class.

Black is an athletic, 6-foot, 175-pound prospect that currently is a two-way player. Although he didn't throw at the TPG's, have seen him work in the low, to mid 80's off the mound with feel for curveball. Defensively, moves well from shortstop, arm plays well from left side of the diamond, made some highlight reel plays while showing off his range to both sides. At the plate, lots of moving parts but seems to find the barrel. Ran a 7.26 in the 60-yard dash but have had him at a 6.90 at other events. 2017 prospect who plays the game the right way and has tools on both sides of the ball. 60-Yard Dash: 6.90 Exit Velocity: 83 INF Velocity: 86
