Defensively: Starts in an athletic position ready to attack the baseball. He gets downhill on the ball playing from the ground up and uses consistent, clean footwork to field the ball in the middle of his body. Shows fluidity in his lateral movements and is able to throw from different arm angles to get rid of the ball as quickly as possible.
6-foot-2, 160-pound right-hand hitter starts from a slightly open stance and initiates his swing with a lift-and-replace stride.
