Burman is a 6-foot-1, 205-pound C/3B from Episcopal Academy. He was a first year starter at 3B for the Churchmen in 2013.
6/18/14 Burman turned in a 7.56 60-yard dash and showcased a 76 mph arm from the crouch with pop times of 2.05-2.15. The 6-foot-1, 205-pound uncommitted senior continues to impress with the bat. Burman has a very quiet approach at the plate with a flat bat path through the zone. He exhibits gap power and the ability to make consistent hard contact. The right-handed hitter went 2-for-5 in game play with a bat exit velocity of 86 mph.
2/15/14 Burman showcased well at two positions over the span of the two day event. The 6-foot-1, 205-pound right-handed hitter utilized a square stance and a quiet lower half in a solid round of batting practice. Burman consistently barreled the baseball with an 87 mph bat exit velocity while showing the ability to use all fields. He registered a 4.69 home-to-1B time and displayed one of the top infield arms of the event with throws of 84 mph across the diamond from 3B. Behind the plate Burman displayed pop times of 2.09-2.16 on throws of 75 mph from the crouch.
11/2/13 Burman is a 6-foot-1, 205-pound C/3B with sound receiving skills. He showcased pop times of 2.19-2.28 on throws of 72 mph from the crouch. Burman stood out at the plate. He has very sound mechanics at the plate with a quiet load and an explosive lower half. He creates consistent solid contact and shows the potential for some gap power. Burman turned in a bat exit velocity of 87 mph.
9/22/13 Burman showed well in all facets of the game, standing out as the top catching prospect on the weekend. The 6-foot-1, 190-pound prospect showcased a rhythmic swing with an explosive lower half and the ability to drive the baseball. Burman displayed a bat exit velocity of 84 mph and the potential to be a quality hitter at the next level. Defensively, he showed pop times of 2.13-2.21 on throws of 74 mph out of the crouch.
7/30/13 Burman is a 6-foot-1, 190-pound prospect that went 5-for-7 with a double and two RBI in game action over two days. The right-handed hitter displayed a short swing path, with a strong lower half and fluid rhythm to his swing. Burman displayed pop times of 2.12-2.19 on throws of 76 mph from the crouch. He gains ground well and showed good straight line carry to his throws.
