6/20/17 6-foot, 215-pound right-handed hitter and pitcher. While Fleeger did flash solid bat speed and athleticism, defensively, his present bigger upside projects on the mound.  Fleeger's size and athletic frame contribute to his confident mound presence. He pitches out of a high 3/4 arm slot with a smooth, balanced and repeatable delivery. He demonstrates a loose arm action with easy velocity sitting 84-85 and touching 86.  CB is 73-74 with 11-5 shape, bite and depth. Slider sat 75 with 10-4 shape and tight spin. Fleeger was able to command both his FB and secondary offerings.
Initiates swing with toe tap and short stride from square set up.  Good balance, solid separation and an aggressive hip turn achieve a bat exit velocity of 85 mph. The back elbow does get substantially in front of hands when connecting resulting in bat drag and decreased ability to control barrel.
1/24/16 6-foot, 215-pound athletic build. At the plate the right handed hitter shows good rhythm in his load and swing. Starts with an open stance and gets to even on the swing. Utilizes a brief toe turn load for tempo. Swings on an even plane with good bat speed. Registered a top exit velocity of 90 mph. In the infield, he fields with his hands together and uses some athletic footwork. Throws from a high ¾ slot with 76 mph arm strength across the diamond. Ran a 4.48 from home to first. On the mound he shows some rhythm with a delivery that requires regular effort. Stays tall after he gets to his balance point and creates good direction to home plate. 3 pitch mix from a high-¾ slot with his fastball sitting 79-82 mph. Curveball has late, sharp break at 72-73 mph at an 11/5 tilt. Flashed a changeup that was 77-78 mph with fastball arm speed.
