Physical: Ultra projectable 6-foot-7, 195-pound frame with long limbs and ability to continue adding strength as he matures. Lackawanna CC Commit.
Pitching: LHP - Side rocker step with medium pace throughout the delivery, medium leg lift a little bit above waist height with directional drive towards the plate, landed relatively high in the posture releasing through a max effort, high ¾ slot. FB played slightly downhill at 80-82 mph showing an upwards of 1969 spin per Trackman Baseball / mixed in a solid 64-66 mph CB featuring 1/7 shape and late depth in the zone. Countered with a 74-76 mph CH thrown at near FB arm speed while displaying deception at the plate, has the ability to be a quality third pitch as he continues adding feel on all pitches.
6-foot-6, 185-pound lefty sat 77-78 from a high 3/4 arm slot. A high effort delivery includes a high knee stack and a hook in back during takeaway. Curveball showed late depth with 1/7 rotation at 60-64. Changeup at 67-72 was thrown at near fastball arm speed. Athleticism and balance along with a plus frame makes Holzinger a definite follow among uncommitted left-handers in this class.
