2/14/16 5-foot-11, 205-pound right-handed hitter. Starts from a slightly open stance with a high hands load and initiates his swing with a toe-tap stride. Tendency to pull the bat head through the hitting zone creates some length in his swing with a bat exit velocity of 85 mph. Moves well for his size (7.21 60-yard dash). Showcased pop times of 2.09-2.22 with 79 mph arm strength out of the crouch. Displayed an open set up defensively and the ability to stay behind the ball well on low strikes.
9/20/15 5-foot-11, 205-pound right-handed hitter. Initiates swing from an open stance with a toe-tap stride. Displayed an 86 mph bat exit velocity and some present power as evidenced by a double to the right-center field gap in game two. Runs well (7.30 60-yard dash) and flashed improving pop times of 2.12-2.25 on throws of 73 mph from the crouch with minimal wasted movement. Additional work to better incorporate trail leg would result in times continuing to come down.
6/24/15 5-foot-11, 205-pound right-handed hitter. Started from an open stance, rocked weight to backside, strode on toe with front knee roll to slightly open base. Swing has some length in back and he would benefit from keep the barrel in the hitting zone longer. Ran a 7.15 60-yard dash and a 4.66 in-game home-to-1B time. Showcased 79-mph exit velocity and 73-mph arm strength during workout. Posted workout pop times of 2.15-2.26 with an in-game pop of 2.19. Accurate arm, fairly clean exchange, would like to see him receive the pitch a little more and stab at it a little less.
