Notes

Comments

2/18/23

Physical: 6-foot-2, 170 pounds; Long, slender build. 7.55 runner in the 60.

Offensively: LHH. Even setup, with feet just outside his shoulders; flat bat to start. Short take back with the hands with an up and down stride for timing. Drifts into contact while showing an average effort from the legs. Showed a slight lift to the ball with a two handed finish.  More line drives than flyballs and groundballs with a peak exit velocity of 77 MPH via Trackman.

Pitching: Uses a glove side setup while using a side step. Mid chest leg drive with a slight lean over the belt. Has a long stride landing inline with the plate. Moderate arm swing while showing no restrictions; low 3/4 slot. Spins off 3B side with finish. FB: Peak velo of 79 MPH, while sitting 78-79 MPH; arm side run. CB: 66-67 MPH; 11-5 shape. CH: 73-74 MPH; fading action.  Impressive spin  efficiency on the FB and CH.

6/21/22

Physical: Longer, athletic 6-foot-2, 160lb build with room to fill. 7.69 runner in the 60-yard dash.

Offensively: LHH. Tall, narrow stance, as the hands worked comfortably by the ear to begin. Utilized a lift-and-replace stride, working outwards while the swing initiated through a balanced, uphill path into the hitting zone. Recorded a T77 mph exit velocity via Trackman with leverage available, using an active top-hand to produce middle-of-the-field contact.

Defensively: The primary first baseman displayed above-average feel around the bag at first. Got his frame beneath the ball, fielding smoothly in the center of his body with a whippy ¾ release across the dirt (75 mph).

Pitching: LHP. Southpaw starts off the middle/right side of the rubber; consistent pace and separates well down the slope. Loose arm-action out of H ¾ with more velo coming. Held 73-76, T77 mph and flashed hard run, mixing a SL-shaped breaking ball into the mid-60’s (8 inch HM).

3/12/22

Physical: Taller, projectable, high waisted 6-1, 155lb frame. 7.99 runner in the 60.

Offensively: LHH. Taller, spread out stance, as the hands operated high at the head. Utilized a short lift and replace stride to initiate the swing through a flat, whippy path while staying on top of the ball from above. Worked short to long up to a T77 mph bat-exit velocity at his peak.

Defensively: The outfielder played behind the ball with some timed-up hand break on the takeaway. ¾ slot, accurate, with some downhill tilt to the target. Corner projection (72 mph arm).

Pitching: LHP - Medium side rocker into a comfortable leg lift. Balanced point then strides down to the plate, loose arm through H ¾ slot. FB ranged between 70-71 mph, mixing 60-64 mph CB and fading mid-60’s CH.
