Physical: Strong/projectable, high-waisted frame (6-foot, 180lbs). 7.49 runner in the 60-yard dash.
Offensively: RHH - Bent, open stance with quick rhythm operating flat on the shoulder pre-swing. Utilized a leg lift with stretch down to a wide attack at foot strike; initiated through a flat, leveraged path at the front of the plate and created lift on occasion on pitches out in the middle of the zone. Recorded a 46% fly ball rate with loft in the approach, peppering the LCF gap up to a 290 foot batted ball distance via Trackman Baseball. Posted developing hand speed (T22.3 mph per Blast Motion) with ability to command the inner-half against velocity; notched an 87 mph bat-exit velocity at its peak during his batting practice round.
Defensively: The primary backstop featured a narrow, traditional setup slightly offset with the hips angled towards the right side of 2B. Soft glove hand at the catch point which absorbed the ball into the exchange at ear height; pop times ranged from 2.04-2.08 seconds with repeatable, quick feet getting straight line towards the target. Short, immediate release at ¾ slot producing accurate 73 mph arm strength, sometimes using the turf for good measure. Good frame for blocking and moved adequately to either side with down chest angles.
Physical: Strong, well put-together 6-foot, 180-pound frame. 7.99 runner in the 60-yard dash.
Offensively: RHH - Upright, open stance with the hands showing rhythm above the shoulder. Utilized a leg kick stride in order to initiate the bat head through a slightly vertical attack angle yielding plenty of line drives (50% rate) to the pull-side during batting practice. Was able to burst through the zone with high intent while staying behind the baseball creating leverage; recorded a peak bat-exit velocity of 89 mph/ 84 average pointing to consistency at the plate.
Defensively: Primary catcher flashed solid receiving abilities from a low, wide traditional setup in the crouch. Pop times ranged from 2.11-2.19 while getting in-line in a hurry with the hips / shoulders. Quick transfers from glove to hand, releasing from a short, high ¾ slot (71 mph). Developing blocking skills with a moderate, downhill chest angles over the plate.
