2017 PBR Future Games - Team Pennsylvania
3/29/17 Flashed defensive abilities behind the plate above his years. Blocked everything in the dirt, presented border line pitches well to umpire and flashed consistent between inning pop times that hovered around 2.00. Showed above average bat speed and the ability to turn on the inner half including a double to left field wall in first at bat and deep fly out to left center in later AB. Ran a 4.53 on the turn on his double.
2/12/17 5-foot-9, 155-pounder is an advanced defender that showcased above average arm strength of 78 mph out of the crouch with pop times of 1.92-2.01. Feet are very quick, transition is clean and throws show above average carry. Works from a low, wide base with quiet receiving hand and shows advanced blocking skills. Ran a 7.17 and registered an 88 mph bat exit velocity. The right-handed hitter has a very solid feel for the barrel and works inside the baseball routinely. He starts from a slightly open stance and uses a leg-lift stride to initiate the barrel with solid rhythm throughout.
