Game Performance

Notes

Comments

2/27/21

Physical: 6’1 185 lb LHP/1B ran a 7.18 laser timed 60-yard dash. Has developed physically over the last year which has improved his game on both sides of the ball.

Offensively: Fluid moving swing, he creates momentum with his barrel pre-pitch to ensure consistent timing. Advanced movements allow him to create an impressive exit velocity.

Defensively: Athleticism takes over at 1B where he is able to move in rhythm with the ball and allows his arm to work short and quick when throwing to bases.

Pitching: Pitches with a good tempo that allows his body to work in sync with his arm. Keeps his arm swing short allows him to hide the ball until late. Engages his lower half and drives off his backside to create extension towards the plate.

3/01/20

6-foot-1, 195-pound primary pitcher sat 81-83 from a high 3/4 arm slot with a compact, repeatable delivery. Showed fastball command with arm-side run. Curveball at 68-69 showed 1/7 rotation and chageup at 68-69 was thrown with good sell and arm-side run at 69-73. The left-handed hitter starts from a square stance and initiates his swing with a knee-to-knee stride. Displayed a short swing path with a gap-to-gap approach while creating back spin. Registerd a bat exit velocity of 88 mph and ran a 7.53 60-yard dash. Showcased a soft glove hand and active feet around the bag at first base with 80 mph arm strength across the diamond.
