A right-handed pitching prospect in the 2019 class. Shows a slower paced tempo to a delivery that requires little effort. Drop and drive type that lands in line to home plate. Creates solid energy down the hill. Arm moves through a high-¾ slot with compact arm action. Fastball will sit 77-80 mph, staying mostly true through the zone. Did a nice job moving the pitch around the zone and changing eye levels. Spins an 11/5 breaking ball with tight action. Not a big breaker but the 63-65 mph offering does enough to miss barrels. Also showed a changeup near fastball arm speed at 69-71 mph
11/19/17 6-foot, 150-pound righty worked out of low-to-mid 3/4 arm slot with excellent balance, rhythm and repeatability to his delivery. Arm action is long and loose. Fastball sat 76-77 with little movement. Curveball thrown at 62-63 mph had 11-5 shape with late break and some depth. Changeup sat 68-69 mph with late sink/fade and excellent sell. All pitches were commanded on this day. Overall, there is a lot to like in his delivery. A substantial bump in velocity is expected with coming strength gains.
