2027 OF Davontae Hardison (State College Area) Hardison features a strong, athletic build at 6-foot-0, 188 lbs. Defensively: Primary OF went and got the ball with natural tracking skills. Featured a glove-tap after fielding and reached back for an 80MPH arm-strength positionally (H ¾). Rounded footwork with momentum over the touch; corner profile.
Physical: 6-0, 174 pounds; Athletic, sturdy build. 7.12 runner in the 60.
Offensively: RHH. Even setup, with feet just outside his shoulders; has a pre-pitch bat waggle. Drops hands on the way back with a moderate leg kick for timing. Stays behind the ball while showing a strong lower half. Showed a direct swing path with a two handed finish. More flyballs than line drives and groundballs with a peak exit velocity of 93 MPH via Trackman. Showed advanced bat speed with a consistent power potential.
Defensively: Starts with an upright /tall setup; uses prep hop while showing choppy feet. Hands are off to the side with a clean transfer. Long arm swing from a standard 3/4 arm slot. OF - 79 MPH.
