4/11/18 6-foot, 180-pound Rowan JC - Gloucester County commit sat comfortably at 84-86 with heavy armside run and some sink to his fastball. Also mixed in an effective curveball with two-plane break at 70-71. Occasionally loses command when he works across his frame. Walked three, struck out three and allowed two hits over three innings of work.

9/23/17 6-foot, 180-pound righty sat 82-84 from a high 3/4 arm slot with a deliberate, repeatable delivery. Also utilized a curveball at 69-71 with tight 11/5 rotation effectively during three innings of work. Allowed one unearned run on just one infield hit while striking out five. Additional work to increase tempo could lead to incremental gains in velocity moving forward.

7/18/17 6-foot, 180-pounder sat 83-85 our a a high 3/4 arm slot with a deliberate, compact delivery.  Held velocity for three innings of work striking out three and walking just one. Curveball continues to be a promising out pitch with tight, 2-plane break at 71-72.  Changeup is stiff and lacks much movement, but could develop into a solid third offering. Uncommitted senior is athletic and should continue to develop additional velocity as his frame continues to fill out.  
6/14/17 6-foot, 180-pounder who pitches out of a high three-quarter slot from a compact delivery. Slightly kicks front foot at catcher and lands a tad crossfire on the outside of his foot, causing him to work around his front side and not get over his lead leg on this day. Fastball continues to make incremental velocity gains, this outing sitting 82-85, touching 86 mph. Also featured a big-breaking curveball with 11/5 shape at 69-71. Right-handed hitter starts from a slightly open, upright stance and strides to square. Ran a 7.26 60-yard dash and posted 86 mph exit velocity, which could be enhanced if he would more fully incorporate his back side into his swing.

2/12/17 6-foot, 180-pound righty sat 81-83 with a deliberate, balanced delivery out of a high 3/4 arm slot. Magar has a projectable frame and stays directional with added velocity likely moving forward. The junior showcased advanced feel for a 71 mph curveball with two plane 11/5 rotation and a 76 mph changeup with good sell and some late sink.

10/29/16 6-foot, 170-pound right-hander with athletic frame has added several mph to his fastball since we last saw him in June. The junior sat 81-82 with some fade from a high 3/4 arm slot with a repeatable, easy delivery. Magar also commanded a 70 mph curveball with tight 11/5 rotation and an advanced changeup that sat 74-76 with some sink. With a pair of solid secondary pitches and a fastball that shows signs of additional velocity gains to come, Magar has positioned himself as a pitcher to watch in this class.

6/15/16 6-foot, 170-pound right-hander sat 77-80 with some arm-side run to his fastball out  of a high 3/4 arm slot. Displayed above average feel for a pair of quality secondary offerings. Curveball showed 11/5 rotation and good depth at 68 mph while changeup is thrown at 71 mph with fastball arm speed. Recorded four strikeouts and induced three ground ball outs during his three innings of work in game action. Solid frame and simple delivery projects for additional velocity moving forward.
