Physical: Uber-athletic 6-foot-3, 210-pound frame with twitch and efficient strength throughout the movements; helium prospect in the class. Recent Virginia Commonwealth University (VCU) commit. 6.69 runner in the 60-yard dash.

Offensively: LHH - Narrow, slightly open stance with the hands starting high above shoulder height. Utilized an early leg hang stride with innate feel for the timing mechanism; the bat head turned over the back left side through a fluid, rhythmic slightly vertical attack yielding a standout 56% line drive rate. Easy confidence at the plate with noticeable punch through the middle-RCF part of the field; held posture well throughout the swing with whip through extension, recorded a peak bat-exit velocity of 101 mph per Trackman Baseball giving way to a 372 foot max batted ball distance. A 78.3 mph bat speed and 21.3 G’s of rotational acceleration (power ceiling) both bode well for his future prospects down the line.

Defensively: The primary outfielder featured advanced reads off of the bat allowing for light, attacking footwork on the approach while fielding off of the right foot. Quick pace and smooth transfers led to an accurate, quick high ¾ slot on the way through playing live towards the plate (90 mph). Could handle any of the three outfield positions moving forward; special athlete in space.

Pitching: LHP - The southpaw started from the far right side of the rubber with a traditional windup flashing slightly up tempo pace in the delivery. Got to a medium-high stack position and raced down the mound with intent. Medium posture at the land and the arm jolted through a moderate, high ¾ slot. FB ranged from 84-87 mph with noticeable carry (20.7 inches of IVB on average) while pounding the zone at a 60% rate. Mixed in a tight, 75 mph downer CB with more depth to it than sweep, countered with a low spin, 80 mph CH with effective arm side fade on occasion.

Physical: 6-foot-2, 200 pounds; big, projectable athlete. 7.5 runner in the 60.

Offensively: LHH. Upright, open stance; small leg kick. average effort with quick hands through the zone, swing stays on one plane; 16 degree bat angle into the zone via Blast Motion. Zirwas is able to produce 10.7 G’s of force with an on-plane efficiency of 59%.  Lots of hard hit contact in the air; average Trackman exit velocity of 83 MPH; peak exit velo was 98 MPH.

Defensively: Starts low and wide; moves well laterally. sure hands, easy transfer; medium arm swing with a 3/4 arm slot.  INF - 80 MPH.

Pitching: Sets up on the third base side, side steps, up-tempo delivery. Quick, whippy arm out of a high 3/4 arm slot. FB: T 84 MPH, 81-84 MPH. Holds its plane well. CB: 68-71 MPH. 12-6 shape.

Showcased feel for an athletic and physical 6-foot-2, 200-pound frame with present strength and fluidity in his actions. The left-handed hitter begins with a tall, open stance utilizing a leg-hang to initiate a fluid and whippy, slightly uphill barrel path into the hitting zone. Demonstrated advanced barrel control during batting practice, getting to contact repeatedly on time and in front of the plate allowing for the ball to jump off the bat. Feel for a strong lower half created present sink and quality hip-shoulder separation yielding a loud 90 mph bat-exit velocity during an impressive round. Ran a 4.38 home-to-first showing off the athleticism he possesses. The primary first baseman featured adequate feel around the bag with a low center of gravity and active footwork playing through the ball with a soft glove hand out in front. Moved well laterally and can be trusted to get back to the bag on double plays if need be. Registered an 80 mph arm-strength across the diamond out of a fluid, high ¾ arm-slot. The left-handed pitcher commanded 81-82 mph fastballs with natural cut out of a high ¾ arm-slot with athleticism in the arm-swing. Mixed in a 68-69 mph curveball with 1/7 action across the zone and countered with a 71-73 mph changeup with occasional arm-side run while being thrown with adequate sell and deception.
