8/1/15 Everly battled some arm issues during the course of the PBR Future Games, but displayed solid receiving and blocking skills during game action. The 5-foot-11, 170-pound left-handed hitter flashed an 87 mph bat exit velocity and went 2-for-5 with a triple and two walks in game action. When healthy Everly has shown consistent pop times in the 2.00-2.10 range.
4/21/15 Left-handed hitter with a smooth stroke and a feel for the barrel. Not a burner, but runs okay for a catcher (4.53 & 4.63 home-to-first). DH'd on this day, so did not get a chance to eval defensively.
2/15/15 Everly flashed quick feet and a clean transition with pop times of 2.16-2.21 on throws of 66 mph from the crouch while not at full health. The 5-foot-11, 165-pound sophomore ran a 7.24 60-yard dash and turned in one of the top rounds of batting practice among all catchers in attendance. Everly hits from a square left-handed stance with no stride staying inside the baseball with a direct swing path and quick hands. Everly displays a solid lower half and a flat barrel path with a bat exit velocity of 87 mph.
7/20/14 Everly showed well in all facets of the game earning a spot in the PA Class of 2017 rankings. The 5-foot-11, 160-pound sophomore registered pop times of 2.00-2.08 on throws of 76 mph from the crouch. Everly displayed quick feet and a strong arm that is likely to continue to improve as his frame fills out. The left-handed hitter utilized a square stance and a flat swing path through the zone with no stride in consistently barreling the baseball during batting practice. Everly flashed a bat exit velocity of 83 mph and ran a 7.31 60-yard dash.
6/25/14 Everly went 2-for-5 with a walk during game play, flashing a bat exit velocity of 79 mph. The left-handed hitter displayed a flat bat path and the ability to utilize all fields during a solid round of batting practice. The 5-foot-11, 160-pound sophomore displayed above average catch and throw skills with pop times of 2.09-2.18 on throws of 69 mph from the crouch.
