The maximum speed, in the direction of home plate, that the wrist is traveling. Measured in meters per second (m/s)
Arm Slot
Angle of the forearm relative to the ground between maximum external rotation (MER) and ball release (BR). Which can be a powerful player comparison metric, delivered in degrees.
Knee Extension Velo
The angular velocity of the front knee straightening after foot plant, which provides indicators of velocity potential. Measured in degrees per second.
Deception
The amount of time that the ball is visible to the hitter, after the instant of front foot strike. Measures in milliseconds.
Hip-Shoulder Separation
The difference in angle of between the hips and shoulders, occurring close to the foot plant. Measured in degrees.
Physical: Lean, projectable 5-foot-11, 150lb frame with even proportions.
Pitching: LHP. The southpaw begins slightly offset, stretch-only, off the middle of the rubber; natural separation that holds the letters back over the rear pocket until the last second. Twitchy thrower from a smooth H ¾ slot, working into a stiff front side at release. Held 79-81 mph (2173) for strikes with occasional ride and mixed a loopy 68-70 mph CB, up to 18 inch HM. Really spins the ball, adding a developing mid-70’s straight-CH.

Physical: 5-foot-9, 140 pounds; Lean, wiry build. Pitching: Olshefskie uses a glove side setup while using a side step. Mid chest leg drive with a slight lean over the belt. Has aLong stride landing inline with the plate. Long arm from a demonstrating segmented stop and go action, while working through a high 3/4 slot. Spins off 3B side with finish. FB: Peak velo of 77 MPH, while sitting 73-76 MPH; arm side run. CB: 65-67 MPH; showed depth. CH: 71-72 MPH; fading action.
6/15/21
Physical: Lean, high-waisted 5-foot-9, 140lb frame with lots of projection left.
Pitching: LHP - Started off the far right side of the rubber with average pace to the delivery, got to a slightly above-average stack position and worked athletically down the slope with some separation at release (¾). Pounded the bottom of the zone at 73-74 mph with arm-side run and crossfire on occasion. Mixed a sharper 62-64 mph CB at a 1/7 tilt featuring a feel for spin and leverage at release (hard sweeper, strikeout potential). Will continue adding velocity as he matures/adds strength to the build.
2/14/21
Physical: 5’9 140lb LHP. Small in stature and has solid mechanics. Room to add size and strength.
Pitching: Uses slow and controlled movements throughout his windup. Has a loose arm that works from a ¾ arm slot, in rhythm with his body as it moves throughout the pitch. Showed a 3 pitch mix, (FB,CV,CH). Maintained a low spin rate on all three pitches.
