10/28/18 - 6-foot-2, 195-pound Villanova commit. The righty sat 87-89 from an over-the-top arm slot with come cut to his fastball. DeGaetano works out of an up tempo delivery with a quick arm stroke and some head wag to his finish. Curveball at 75-79 at times shows hard 12/6 biting action. Tendency to get around the pitch at times causing it to back up. Changeup at 79-80 shows similar cutting action as his fastball, but a feel for the pitch is still in the works.
10/28/17 - 6-foot-2, 195-pound right-hander continues to impress with a fastball, curveball, changeup mix from an over-the-top arm slot. The junior, who represented Pennsylvania in the PBR Future Games in August, sat 86-88 with an up tempo, directional delivery that creates downward plane from his arm slot. While the fastball lacks movement the 12/6 breaking curveball comes out of the same window at 74-75 and his changeup at 80-81 is thrown with above average arm speed.
10/8/16 - Physical 6-foot-2, 190-pounder impressed with a solid all-around skill set and two-way abilities. The primary pitcher sat 80-84 off the mound from a high 3/4 arm slot with late run on his fastball. His 76 mph changeup is still a work in progress but his 73 mph curveball is an advanced secondary offering that will get plenty of outs. The 12/6 breaker sat 72-73 with hard-biting down action and was continually thrown for strikes. The sophomore ran a 7.45 60-yard dash and showcased capable defensive actions at both corner infield positions with 86 mph arm strength across the diamond. The right-handed hitter starts from a square stance and uses a short leg-lift stride to initiate his swing. Some barrel wrap creates length in his swing, but the ball routinely jumps of his barrel with a bat exit velocity of 90 mph.
