Physical: 5-10, 160 pounds; Proportional, slight build. 7.46 runner in the 60. Offensively: LHH. Even setup, with feet shoulder width apart; flat bat to start. Loads straight back with an up and down stride for timing. Stays behind the ball while showing an aggressive lower half. Showed a slight lift to the ball with a late one hand finish. More flyballs than line drives and groundballs with a peak exit velocity of 87 MPH via Trackman. Defensively: Starts with an upright /tall setup; uses prep step while showing active feet. Hands are out in front while funneling to the hip before transfer. Long arm swing from a standard 3/4 arm slot. INF - 79 MPH. Pitching: Uses a glove side setup while using a side step. Belt high leg drive with shoulders above the hips. Has a moderate stride landing inline with the plate. Moderate arm swing while arm stays in line with 2B; standard 3/4 slot. Spins off 1B side with finish. FB: Peak velo of 74 MPH, while sitting 71-74 MPH; arm side run. CB: 66-69 MPH; early action.
2/18/23
Physical: 5-foot-10, 160 pounds; Slight, proportional build. 7.83 runner in the 60. Offensively: LHH. Even setup, with feet wide spread; upright bat position. Short take back with the hands with an up and down stride for timing. Stays behind the ball while showing a strong lower half. Showed a slight lift to the ball with a late one hand finish. More flyballs than line drives and groundballs with a peak exit velocity of 87 MPH via Trackman. Defensively: Starts with an upright /tall setup; uses prep hop while utilizing a quick first step. Hands are underneath the body with a delay in transfer. Short take back from a standard 3/4 arm slot. INF - 74 MPH. OF - 76 MPH.
10/15/22
Physical: Lean, developing 5-foot-10, 160lb build. 8.24 runner in the 60-yard dash.
Offensively: LHH. Even, upright stance with some hand wiggle by the ear. Utilized a coiled leg-lift stride to initiate the swing through a slightly uphill, accurate path into the hitting zone. Stayed over the rear-hip and worked behind the ball for a T80 mph exit velocity, up to a 263 foot distance. More bat-strength to come at the plate.
Defensively: The middle infielder chopped the feet before settling down at a narrow base. Gathered off the center of his body and patted the glove before releasing up to 75 mph across the dirt (H ¾). Similar success from the OF with accurate throws.
6/21/22
Physical: Lean, high-waisted 5-foot-10, 160lb frame. 8.16 runner in the 60-yard dash.
Offensively: LHH. Upright, loose stance, as the barrel starts just above the shoulder to begin. Utilized a short leg-lift stride to initiate the swing through a lofty, uphill path towards a two-handed finish. Held the rear-hip well during the forward move, able to create space for the arms. Recorded a T77 mph exit velocity via Trackman and added a 254 foot distance.
Defensively: The middle infielder featured bouncy, rhythmic actions on the left side of the diamond. Quality reads off the bat and angled around the ball, towards the target at the window. Reached back for a 74 mph arm-strength positionally.
Pitching: RHP. Works off the left corner of the rubber; taller posture with some separation down the slope out of H ¾ slot. FB lived in the upper-60's, T70 mph and flashed hard run at times. Mixed a small 57-59 mph CB (1579) under development.
6/21/22
Physical: Lean, high-waisted 5-foot-9, 155lb frame with room to fill as he matures. 8.16 runner in the 60-yard dash.
Offensively: LHH. Begins from a taller, square stance, as the hands operated with slight pre-pitch rhythm before initiating through a flat, direct path into the hitting zone. Repeated a simple lift and replace stride, which allowed for timed up barrel-whip on the front side. Produced consistent mid-70's bat-exit velocities, peaking at 77 mph with a lofty approach to the big part of the field. Recorded a 56% fly ball rate into the 254 foot range via Trackman.
Defensively: The middle infielder displayed quick, choppy feet that worked hard to create angles towards the target. Confidence to make all of the plays, including on the run across his body with a simple transfer to the throwing ear. Notched a 74 mph on his best bullet positionally from a H 3/4 slot.
Pitching: RHP. Started off the middle/left side of the rubber; momentum gaining pace, staying vertical in the torso while utilizing drop/drive down the slope. Deliberate finish on a 65-68, 70 mph FB that clipped the zone at a 20% rate. Mixed a developing upper-50's mph CB to keep hitters in between speeds.
3/12/22
Physical: High-waisted 5-foot-8, 150lb frame. 8.32 runner in the 60-yard dash.
Offensively: LHH. Taller, even stance with pre-set rhythm to begin. Utilized a leg lift stride with hip coil to control the forward move. Initiated the swing through a slightly uphill, whippy path into the hitting zone. Two-handed finish and mostly dead pull approach, leaving the zone to the right field line. Hits into an adjustable, soft front side.
Defensively: The middle infielder operated with medium/higher posture and shuffled accurately to the target after fielding. Will find a home at 2B, sits down on the ball at times, with a 67 mph arm strength across the diamond (short to long).
